A new yarn collection deserves a new top to be made! When I saw Spring Sorrel by Wool an Pine I knew this was the one!
Knitted from the top down in the round, there are great videos provided for the dip stitch and awesome fit videos to help you choose the size and fit that's right for you.
The designers recommend a 0" to negative 4" ease from your fullest bust measurement. If you are smaller chested like myself they recommend to go with negative 4" and that's what I did.
I made size 30" and added 3 inches to the length as I have a long torso. I also added short rows to the neckband ribbing. My body shape really needs short rows in circular yokes, partly I think because I have a smaller chest and a slightly rounded top back.
I also decided to use kfb (knit front back) for the increases - I find this distorts the tension less but only decided this a few repeats in!
And what's the new yarn? A 50% silk/ 50% merino Sport weight blend, perfect for Spring/ Summer tops! I've launched the collection in nine colours to celebrate the coming of Spring.
I've included some sprinkle colourways in the yarn, and here is what they look like knitted up in reverse stockinette. (PistachioTwist is not a sprinkle but a tonal varigated, I fancied knitting a sample of this one too though!)
