Merino is ethically sourced from New Zealand where the sheep are allowed to express their normal sheep behavious and mulesing is not performed.

Most of the yarn I use in Superwash, however, I do recommend handwashing as this prolongs the life of your finished pieces. Always use a PH neutral soap.
Yes. However they will fade over time, and like all things I do not recommend leaving the yarn of finished pieces in direct sunlight.
The process of Mordanting is used to ensure the Natural dyes adhere to the yarn correctly and traditional ingredients are used to ensure the best light and wash fastness is achieved.
Yes, due to the nature of Natural Dyes and the Indigo layering technique I use on many colours there will be variations. Most of the yarns is dyed in 600g batches.
I love using shifters, it's such an interesting way to achieve different colours from the dye ingredients. Some of the shifters I use are: cream of tartar, chalk and citric acid.
In the Fingering collection the following colours use cochineal: Twizolo, Sunseta, TigerDance, DanceCanyon, BabyValentine, StrawBerryLips, ShowGirl, PlumLips and PlumKiss.
In the DK collection the following colours use cochineal: PoseyVille, NeoBerry, RosyVille, GranCanyon, CactusRose, PinkCaboose and MoonFlower.
