Anayah is a rainbow child, so not only did I want to specially dye rainbow yarn, but also be inspired by rainbows for the edging. The edging is worked straight, and then pinned out to peaks for the rainbows. I suggest you weigh your yarn before you start, to make sure you don’t use more than half before you start reducing.
A fake icord edge is applied and allows the natural curl of the stockinette frame the edge of the shawl. Designed to be made with colourway ‘Too Many Rainbows’ this design would work well with any semi-solid or speckled yarn colourways.
Kit suitable for beginners and up
100g/ 395m/ 431y cake of 'Too Many Rainbows' colourway from the Naturally dyed soft singles merino/ cashmere/ silk collection. 75% merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk.
