Swoogie Hat pattern suitable for all knitters. 

This textured hat was designed to be made with DK weight pure merino wool. Three bands of ruched knitting for some three dimensional texture, add a pom pom to the top for some extra pazazz!

The hat is framed with a stockinette rolled border, a favourite design addition in WildWestDye's hat. Once of the reasons I like this so much as the rolled edge frames your face and there's no dig in from the edge of the ribbing.

You will need 4 x CakeQuarters aka 100g/ 225m/ 246y of DK weight yarn - See WildWestDye's DK weight yarn here. Or choose yarn from your stash of course!

Finished measurements:

  • Two circumferences available, to fit size head: 20"/ 22"/ 51cm/ 56cm

Notions: Stitch marker for beginning of round.

Needles: 3.5mm & 4mm / US size 4 & 6 - 16" circulars + either 32" cord for magic loop of 4mm/ US size 6 DPN's for top of crown.

Gauge: 23 sts to 10cm/ 4"
